The worst self-made lighting fixtures we have ever experienced
A do-it-yourself approach can be admirable, and many DIY projects look great in your home or on a small scale in your office. But when it comes to large-scale installations like lighting fixtures, going the homemade route likely won’t cut it.
As a company that prides itself on quality, it pains the ideoli team to see self-made lighting fixtures like these, which were “installed” (to use the term loosely) in a European movie theater (see image above)
While the intent is commendable, the execution is breathtaking for all the wrong reasons. The stapled acrylic pieces, the gaps between the pieces, the warped sides and the overall look are simply terrible. Worst of all, these lighting fixtures might be safety hazards, as they could fall onto a customer or potentially catch fire since not all materials can enclose light bulbs like that.
Unfortunately for this movie theater, these are the worst self-made lighting fixture we have ever seen!
Save the DIY projects for more manageable tasks, and leave the creation and installation of quality, functional lighting fixtures to the experts at Ideoli!
